Once upon a time there was a boy, this boy lived in a world much like the world we live in today. There was good and there was bad, this boy of course focused on the bad, he liked the bad, it justified his hatred and dislike for the world around him. It gave him an excuse to do nothing about the problems that existed. He hated the world and didn’t care about what happened, he decided he didn’t have to do anything about it. He didn’t try to change. The story of course can not be that simple, there must be more……
There is more, one day something strange happened, there was a movie, a conversation and an insight. It was beyond words, a mystical experience, he did not understand, it turned his world upside down.
I once was on a bus traveling downtown, as the bus approached a bridge I observed some graffiti, the message was strange at the time, but I think I now understand what it meant “The real art of discovery consists not in finding new lands, but in seeing with new eyes.” I hope the meaning will be revealed to the readers by the time this story finishes.
This is my novel blog (novelog), the plan is to ‘publish’ a novel through this web page. If you click on the ‘about’ link you will find this text:
This is a project that I have come up with and would like to pursue. I like to read and I like to write, I have had a dream of being a write as an occupation and never having to get a real job. Due to circumstances beyond my control (living in a real world) this can not happen, but I can still have a job and try to become a writer, so to do that i have created this Novel Blog, Nove-l-og.
The story will be a hybrid of non-fiction and fiction inspired by true events. I hope to make the chapters short so that they are easier to read and consistent with a blog style. This is an experiment and an attempt to see what can be done with the great opportunities that are available to all of us right now.
While there is a specific story to be told, this is an experiment in possibilities, so the story will be presented in a dynamic way.
I hope that you enjoy the experience and take part, comments are greatly appreciated.
Thank You
Sandy Copeland
